Zdenka Podkapova

Zdenka Podkapova actually started her career by pure luck! Podkapova was discovered by a Czech photographer, who she would later find out was of no great importance.  While she was never looking to pursue modeling, she found that she enjoyed it and was happy doing it. After a couple of years of preparation, Zdenka was able to meet a longtime Penthouse photographer. This led to her being the Penthouse Pet Of The Month in April 1999 and and more recently, the 2001 Penthouse Pet Of The Year.

She has traveled to France, which gave her the opportunity to meet photographer Christophe Mourthe. She has shot more more erotic type photos which she enjoyed, but notes she would never go beyond that and cross over into porn. Zdenka says she enjoys beautiful nude modeling and thinks a model should have a well proportioned body. This blonde beauty, also notes that she dislikes pictures showing a model weighing 90 pounds, dark rings under her eyes and a fearful expression on her face. Zdenka have been to L.A. again, but this time she was lazier then usual. A few days before her trip she was feeling like oh, again a long trip, she want to stay in her new house and just work on her website and spend her time with friends. It is hard to explain exactly what Ishe was feeling before this trip. Sometimes she wish she could just stop time.
She hate long trips but of course when she gets there everything goes smooth.
The day before she left town, her mom visited her and they played chess. When they said goodbye, Zdenka could see in her moms eyes that she is sad that again she is going away. She's scared that something bad will happen down the road.

Zdenka arrived in Vienna on time, but there was such bad whether, too much snow, that all flights were delayed Which meant that she missed her connecting flight from Munich to Los Angeles. She had to wait another 5 hours in Munich. And it wasn't a direct flight either! Only to San Francisco, then from there another to Los Angeles. She arrived in L.A. about 10.00 PM. She was so tired, but she had the next day off so she got time to rest.

On the plane she met some interesting people. She had a seat next to an Italian movie director. His name is Gabriele Muccion and he was going to L.A. to finish some new movie with Will Smith. So they had a great conversation. He was such a nice person and he gave her his cell number and told her that if she have any problems in L.A. she should give him a call and he will help her, that was nice.

Her work in Los Angeles was great, again she worked for Shirley of Hollywood (lingerie company). She shot with them for 3 days, for their new catalogue and their Hot Lingerie collection. David (photographer) had his Birthday on Monday so she was invited for a nice dinner with everyone. She was thinking about her best friend Ivona, because she had her Birthday the same day and she was not around to celebrate with her but they exchanged lots of text messages and they celebrated on Sunday night, when sheI got back from LA.

Zdenka have one bit of bad news. Mark Daughn of Mystique had to cancel the planned Africa shoot in May. He called Nissa in L.A. and told her that he was informed about the unstable situation there and so now he is going to have to reschedule everything. He was afraid to go there with the whole group and with about 10 beautiful models.

But it's not all bad because when one door closes another one opens Because the Africa shoot is postponed Zdenka now have time to go back to USA for the next Foto Fantasy Camp. And that's great because she can shoot with David again for FFC and just few days later she can shoot again for Shirley!

On one of her days off she visited bombay company They are located in every department store she love this shop. She bought lots of things there. Two wonderful candlesticks, one fireplace clock, a few small things and one new chess set. But the chess set was so heavy that Nissa had to lend Zdenka her bag, there was no room in her. At the airport she had to pay an extra $25 because the chess-set was so terribly heavy, but in the end she is happy that she bought them.

Next week Wednesday 22.02 she will go to Germany for just one day's shooting for German band AMOS. She will shoot a CD cover from them, so cross fingers for Zdenka.

Zdenka in Bahamas

Zdenka went to the Bahamas for Foto Fantasy Camp. She love the Bahamas! She had a great time there and she definitely want to go back ASAP.
David hired her again for his Camp and asked her if she would be interested to go there. She said yes, of course! She had a great time in Mexico and the Camp there was great and she did love all the students.
She worked at the Camp for 5 days. For the first 3 days, ten new amateur photographers came to shoot her and another model named Janny. Zdenka will call them the First Group, and they wanted to learn everything they could from David about how to make beautiful pictures. David has been in the business for a long time and he is a really professional photographer and he gave a lot of himself to his students.
The First Group was great. She loved all of them. The first day they shot in an area called XANADU. It was a large house with a private beach, so they had a chance to do lots of different pictorials and teach the students what is different about outdoor and indoor pics. The best part is that after they take good quality pictures, you can see on their faces how happy they are, because before the Camp they didn't trust themselves or have the confidence that they could make some beautiful images.
The Second Group she knew from the Mexico Camp, so it was nice to see all of them again after 6 months. They were not amateurs, but semi-professionals, and for them the Camp was a little bit different because everybody was doing their own lights and it was up to them to fix the lights, etc.

David just told them what was wrong and how and why to use lights in a different way, but it was up to them.
The last day they had a chance to shoot in an INCREDIBLE house. Zdenka never saw anything like this in her life.  The owner of this house is a clothes designer named Nygard. She had never heard his name before but he makes lots of money from his business and he is good at what he does.
He started from nothing and came from nowhere. In Finland, where he was born, he is known through the tabloids.  In Canada and the USA he is a well-know businessman whose fashion products are sold in fine department stores.  And in the Bahamas, he is known as the man who for a decade has been creating an unconventional Nirvana resort that is the house where we were shooting.
The career of entrepreneur Peter Nygard has been meteoric, though his biggest competitor has always been himself. His parents sacrificed much to send him to university, where he excelled at sports. Nygard gathered his life savings and some borrowed capital and purchased 20% of a ladies' fashions outlet. Within a few years he owned the company outright, and today annual sales are approaching 500 million US dollars.
All the students were so happy they had a chance to use his house for the shooting, because it afforded lots of different locations in which to shoot. Zdenka could be there with a photographer for a week and they still couldn't exploit everything because it is so big.

The girls and she met the son of the Bacardi fortune and he invited them for drinks one night. She couldn't go because she had to wake up every morning at 4:30 and she had jet-lag, too, so she was really tired. But they told her he was a nice person and a gentleman, too, which was nice to hear. So, maybe next time. David wants to come back again in February to shoot again. She hope so because she love the Bahamas. The people were so nice there and friendly and helpful all the time.

The last day, when everybody had the day off, she had another shooting. one of the students hired me for a private shooting for his private project. His name is Dean and she knew him from the Mexico Camp.
She really love him and she enjoyed her shooting with him because he was nice, fast and they made beautiful pictures without stress.

Zdenka plays chess

Zdenka is so sorry that she have been unable to share any news for a long time, but it was the end of the year holidays, and she needed to take a brief break.

She want to wish a very happy 2006 to all visitors and to all her faithful members. She just wish everybody a happy and healthy life and hope for you that all your dreams come true.

She moved into her new house one week before Christmas so she was busy trying to get everything fixed at the last minute, but she was on time and it was great. It took a long time to move here, but she took control of everything herself, and she can say it was hard.
She did not understand a lot of things at first, but She learned, because it was important to control all the materials and where her money was going. Right now, she is a little bit proud of herself because not every 28 year old girl can build something by herself.
Especially a girl with blond hair! Zdenka had a nice life before and was able to buy some nice apartments, but it's important to her to leave something of herself behind for after she die. To that end, she would also like to do some charity work this year, too, but first, it is important to find some good charitable organization. Here in Czechia, there has been a big public outcry about charities who abuse their donations, so she have to be careful about where she send her money and who will use it. It's probably better to contact some people directly who have some big trouble and discuss with them how she can help them directly. She is not sure if everyone understands what she mean, or if she can express it well, but she do hope you understand a little bit.

She is living in her own house! She is still waiting for some furniture that she ordered. It is handmade, so it will take a long time. It will probably come the end of February. She can't wait!

About her chat room. She is sorry, but for this year she have decided not to chat every Monday, because it is not always possible for her to do so. Instead, she will chat different days at different times. She will post everything on her schedule. Chatting every Monday just isn't always possible because sometimes she is out of town, sometimes she is too tired to chat at 22:30. So she will keep you informed about the chat in her Messageboard.

Her webmaster Beda will prepare a new online game for you, too. She hope it will be ready soon.

Zdenka have a new hobby. Right now, her best friend is teaching me to play chess. She never imagined she would play chess one day. It is so difficult, but she love it because you have to use your head a lot. She is not sure how many of you play chess, but her friend is bringing a CD with the best chess program available. This is the program that beat Gary Kasparov (the former world champion), so she is happy to get this program to train with. Maybe someday, she will find a way to play chess online with her members, but not right now, because she is a total amateur and would lose to everybody!

Zdenka shooting for FHM

Zdenka is back from London.  She arrived Friday night. She spent just one day in London shooting because she had to get back to the Czech Republic in a hurry.
She slept in the Hotel Miller. It was a big surprise from Giles, her agent in Europe, and it was such a beautiful hotel! The owner is a famous man, who has collected a lot of antiques, and the hotel is not any other one.  You feel more like you are at home there. Everywhere, there are just lots of antique things. Lots of artists, painters, writers and movie people visit this hotel because they just feel comfortable there. It is more like a family hotel. Most of them feel inspired by the decor, the antiques and the paintings, etc.

This time Zdenka was shooting for Zoo magazine. There were about 10 people on the shoot and they all had a great time.
She was shooting in a new style, with lots of shadows, so she cannot wait to see how it will look. After the shoot she did an interview with the magazine and they had lots of fun. She brought some good news from London, too.

After the shoot she went with Giles to a dinner. She went to a restaurant called Lonsdale in Notting Hill.
It is on a desirable block and is an uncompromisingly cool hangout for local celebs and rastafarians.
The cocktails are fabulous and she did try a few of them. The menu is also great, with lots of international snacks for sharing with your friends. Such is the popularity of this place that membership cards are issued to regular customers, so try going there earlier in the week.

Tomorrow She is going to the Bahamas, so Zdenka can't wait! But she is also tired of long flights and travelling all the time. But what can she do?
